Overcome Your Fear of Sharing Your Art On Instagram

May 23, 2017 by Brandon Mikel Paul

Have you ever felt scared to post your artwork on Instagram? Do you start questioning yourself, thinking ‘what if people hate it?’ or ‘My work isn’t good enough to share yet’.

If you are thinking these things then you are like most artists. We get so wrapped up in the emotions of our work that we end up second-guessing ourselves.

You will always have room to grow, but remember there are people out there in all different stages.

There are people a few steps behind you and people a few steps ahead of you.

Documenting your work and your progress gives you something to reflect on and see your growth. It gives less experienced artists something to learn from and relate to.

Think of yourself as a documenter.

Your Instagram is a media outlet. It’s used to promote and represent the person/artist/brand behind it. Don’t be afraid to hit Share. There will always be someone out there that finds value in what you share.

The next time you are preparing to content for Instagram, if the fear starts to creep in it means you are probably heading in the right direction.

How do you overcome your fear when sharing work on Instagram? Leave a comment and share what works for you!

Cheers, and wishing you all a fine weekend 🙂
