How did I start a writing habit?

How did I get my lazy, procrastinating, video-game addicted self to start writing every day?

Here are the basics:

  1. I write as soon as I wake up,
  2. in the same spot every morning,
  3. without worrying if it is good or not.

After 7 days of writing I developed momentum.

After 14 days of writing it stopped being a chore, and it started being fun.

After 21 days of writing it became a habit, and the act of writing every day was almost effortless.

After 28 days of writing I felt unstoppable. Writing was integrated into my daily routine, and sitting down to write was as easy as breathing.
